    Affordable slicey hollow grinds?

Another vote for the Centofante III. Mcustas are probably pushing the definition of “affordable“ but are, in my mind, worth the cost.

    Dragonfly 2: FRN or G-10?

Option 3 : stainless. I have G10 and FRN ‘flys as well but my stainless one gets all the carry time. It’s heavier and feels like a knife, doesn’t shred pockets, no jimping which I prefer and the fact that is pinned construction really isn’t an issue for me. Even better, a Kopa, if you can...

    Mini Griptillian Scales

Recycled image with scales by Death of all Things (smooth G10 here but he does amazing inlays), Wilkins (dimpled) and Cuscadi (Anso grooved G10)

    Mini Griptillian Scales

Death of all Things and Keyman on this board are good places to start. Cuscadi if you are happy to import from Europe and whilst he no longer makes scales, if you can find a set of Kevin Wilkins scales, they are really, really nice and were one of the original and most recognisable aftermarket...

    Al Mar alternative

There was lots of whining when they were available that the Al Mars, particularly the Eagle / Falcon / Hawk series were too expensive for "just" AUS8. Sure, VG10 would have been nicer but it is what it was. Because I prefer single hand opening to nail nicks, most, if not all, of Moki's own...

Using the Italians for a bit ... the TUR the last few days and the PITS went into my pocket this morning. The moka pot, that's how I start every day.

Douk-Douk, Opinel, Svord Peasant, Higonokami..what else?

Okapi, not the Cold Steel tribute but the real ones, beloved by South African youngsters and gangsters alike. A challenge would be finding one of the older, German made ones.

Which bugout would you choose and why?

I find M4 a bit easier to sharpen and I can get it to a crisper edge than I can M390 but not by much. Both hold an edge longer than I’d need. Both are sufficiently tough for my uses. That said I generally will take a satin, stainless blade over a coated carbon blade. I prefer stainless steel...

Which Benchmade are you carrying today?

Whilst Bugouts have largely pushed the mini Dejavoo out of my regular rotation, it still gets some pocket time
