"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Happy Birthday, @Modoc ED! Gonna eat some birthday cake in your honour in a little while. (My wife's birthday was earlier this week, and my daughter made a HUGE chocolate cake!)

I'll cheer them up in the emergency room by singing Werewolves of London. Better than Excitable Boy.

That malt sure looks good, Jack! Well done on the giveaway (congrats to the winner!). I've got some Aussie wine in me hand, and I'm drinking to Jolly Jack, and the best thread on BF. Cheers!

Finally made a chip butty: The lambsfoot sliced the potatoes well enough, and also served to spread the butter. Only seasoning was salt and pepper. Delicious! Didn't have any beer (Don't judge me!), so had some iced tea with it. Wishing a Happy Yorkshire Day to all Guardians!

    Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I will have to try a chip butty. I remember when I was a child and my grandmother make some french fries and bacon, I took some of each and put them on one slice of white bread, and folded it over like a taco. Best sandwich/taco ever! Actually, I just finished a couple of breakfast tacos...

I can still hear the voice on the television (around 1966, I think): "Now in living color!"

The Cisco Kid was the first television show fimed in colour, and it was a western in the early and mid 1950's. Also, The Lone Ranger was filmed in colour (after starting in black and white). So Bonanza was not the first. I love those old westerns!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks, Gary. The Peanut is about the size of knife my father carried. I believe he usually had a two-blade (clip and pen) opposite end knife. Good size for dress pants.

Yeah, Ray. A nice knife that is like a cleaver. I love the stag. Gift from @Âchillepattada. I really love my French knives.
