    Yes, go with carothers. The man is an encyclopedia of knowledge and makes a hell of a knife. You'll notice your hankering for 3v will grow, exponentially.

    I've had one of these for years, absolutely love mine. I chopped the leg off a frozen deer that I had hanging from my Kubota once, deer leg bone is dense as hell too. Before anyone starts screaming, I don't care.

    Originally looking at haas because they are affordable, but some solid advice is steering me towards used mori seiki if I can find them. I spent a few years on a dmg mori and they are great, but expensive.
