    Original box

They do ship in a neat box. I've gotten a lot of packages and the randall box is kinda unique

That 4 inch is creepy haha

    Astro

Has to be the labor since it's a intricate design. The 14 and 15 were designed to cut costs at least in the beginning.

    Very first Randall

Supposedly so you can put what kind of edge you want on the knife. Not sure how official that is but I have had a lot of Randall's and usually they barely cut paper. I usually use it day one with the shop edge then sharpen it up after that. 01 takes a real fine edge where as the stainless gets...

    Short model 1's

I had a 5" model 5. It was a great grind and all but I could tell it was too small for me so I sold it. Kinda wish I still had it, would be more of a carver/light duty knife. To be honest I could see having a 5-7 maybe a 5-8 some days. I still think the 5-6 is a great size. The longer the...

    Short model 1's

I've had a few 1-6 knives. I use and carry knives a lot. Anything too long or heavy and it can be really detrimental in the mobility department. I'm 6' 2 anyone short might have real issues toting around a 7-8 inch knife. Like the catalog says order blade length and choose the model for your...

Hystoricaly speaking, cost of model 1

Nice grind on it. 2018 knives are looking great

    Silver solder

Same exact knife. The Mark's are on the spine and bottom too. Again this has happened on all of the Randall knives after a short while. I don't think it's a major defect as it's just a water proofer and its assuredly still water tight.

    Randall knife hot spot.

Sorry, what I meant by not much value as in any sort of modern Randall price/profit. Sure it's worth a few hundred dollars but in reality other than aesthetics it's worth more than that because of what it actually is, it's just not pretty. A sound knife and sheath, just not collectable due to...

    Randall knife hot spot.

That's a hardcore user without much value anyways so modifying it shouldn't hurt the value especially if your light handle sanding isn't very extreme. The knife could be sent into the shop for a clean up but that wouldn't be worth it as it's a user. The sheath looks damaged too. IMO just do it!

    Silver solder

After some use the soldering has changed to what I remember. Perhaps just another way to tell if a knife was used.

Picking a Randall for military use (pilot)

I always wondered how those big ones felt in hand. I never got around to ordering one. It would make some great art on a desk. Don't think I would want to carry it though!

    Silver solder

I most certainly do not hate Randall Made Knives! I have been using them since I was 18 years old.
