New Bugout with omega spring break

It's really hard to say just how common it is because people who have them break are more likely to post about it online than people who have no issue. I've had a couple Benchmades that both springs broke on fairly quickly. The other has been fine. I made my own replacements from memory wire...

    Coffee

I used to like flavored coffees when I first started drinking it as a teenager, but can't stand them anymore. Not only do I dislike the taste, but you get those flavors in your grinder too. I see on the label that they mention iced. Never thought about trying flavored coffee for cold brew. I...

    Coffee

I knew about kopi luwak, but didn't realize anyone was doing it with elephants.o_O While neither seems appealing to me personally for reasons that Heather mentions in the article, this is worth a read. https://coffeeordie.com/poo-brew/

    Coffee

I've done that before with some coffee that I under roasted the first time. It doesn't turn out ideal, but at least makes it drinkable. I agree that it's better than throwing it out.

The Sebenza 31 and Thread Locker

I had an issue with the pivot backing out at first when the knife was breaking in. I've since made sure to clean the screws well when taking apart and not get any grease on them or the holes in the scales before reassembly. This has kept them from backing out and they pop when loosening.

    Coffee

I never really measured it, but always thought it was about 6-8 oz per cup for what coffee makers were listed as. I think most normal mugs are about 10 oz, large mugs are 16 oz, and a lot of travel tumblers are 20 oz. If there is some kind of official standard for it, SpyderPhreak would...

    Coffee

Page 2 of Community Center?!o_O We've been seriously slacking here. I just roasted a fresh batch of Nicaraguan last night myself. Nice knife combo there and the marbled mug is pretty cool too.

    D2 Steel Patina?

Yes, it was forced with vinegar. I'm pretty sure that was originally mine that he won in a giveaway quite a few years back. I had mixed results with forcing a patina on D2. A couple turned out good, but at least one came out really splotchy. I think through regular use it would take quite a...

    Knives and Coffee

Kaldi's is good stuff. I'm sure @Monofletch will back me up on that. One of the local craft breweries uses their coffee too.

It’s 2021 and Hinderer is still discriminating

Paying extra to have three filler plates, six extra screws, and a wrong handed lock on a $400+ knife? Ehh....no thanks. FWIW, I'm not a big fan of RHK and probably wouldn't buy one even if they did start making left hand versions though. There are plenty of options for ambidextrous knives...
