18" Keffeler Sword (K18), AKA The KOD Piece

To be clear, the stuff is not just rattling around in a box. It is extremely secure and it was tested. I'm not disputing what happened happened, and we are taking additional measures to prevent it from happening again, but we did ship these very securely. You just can't idiot proof anything...

18" Keffeler Sword (K18), AKA The KOD Piece

I just finished grinding the last K18 for this pre-order tonight. It's tumbling now. We will assemble it and I'll sharpen it tomorrow and that will complete this pre-order. Good grief what an epic saga the K18 turned out to be. I'm proud of the work and I'm sorry it took me so long.

This is our new 6" Utility Fighter version 2. ^ The UF2 is fundamentally the same as the original UF. We made some minor tweaks to the handle and guards but it is substantially the same. It handles the same, it weighs the same, it performs the same. It is being re-released for a...

When you look at the bricks, you can see that our knife was subjected to quite a bit more abuse than the bark River. Again, in the nail, ours was beat like a rented mule, the bark River took three little taps. Obviously the CPK outperformed the production knife, but I'll bet most people watching...

End Mills for Bearing Pockets in Ti

You won't get very good precision locating your hole with a rod like that. I don't know if it matters but if it does you should use an indicator to sweep in your hole. Also, an endmill doesn't leave a flat bottom hole, it leaves a shallow cone.

    Contact wheel discussion

This is my KMG contact wheel If you look closely, you can see that it has started to deteriorate enough that it could affect function. Because of this I haven't bought more contact wheels from KMG. I think that Northridge seems to have pretty good contact wheels. I bought a 10" from them...

    Contact wheel discussion

I know this doesn't really answer the question and I know this is an unscientific and tiny sampling size. But earlier this year I made some 1" contact wheels out of neoprene and urethane. The neoprene wheels wore out and needed dressed every couple days. So, when I made the urethane wheels I...
