grabbed one at home depot today for $15. it's got a locking blade and a wooden handle. haven't used it yet but it looks like a monster. anyone have any experience with this saw?

Does this really belong in W&SS? Pleeez......moving to Gadgets & Gear.

i ended up using some fairly convoluted "logic" to arrive at W&SS. if i tried to explain it your head would explode.

It has nothing to do with logic. Posting stuff like that in W&SS is nothing but filler. There was no actual content related to it's use in a survival situation.

Say Heah, I have this same excact Fiskar's with the wood habdle and it's a good one. I also like the way a Corona cuts the 10" curved version , but it does appear to be more cheaply made, although mine is holding up pretty good. The idea of breaking my Folding Saw in the wood's scared me so I bought a Wicked Tough Saw made by Wicked Tree Gear, the best well one of the best investments I made. The frame is U.S.A. Made and lifetime warrenty. But what I like and you have to buy the Combo Which Is Saw and Sheath or buy them separately the saw doesn't automatically come with the Sheath. But I love the Sheath because I can put it in the Sheath in the open possition and that's great when setting up camp especially building a shelter or a bed etc. It is just what the name implies. Infact I've seen videos about lite chopping with it. I never did. Would I buy another one. I'm a heart beat, I think their the brst. I love my Silky Bigboy 2000 but it's a little too big sometimes. This Saw I can carry as part of my Trio. A Belt Knife, a Saw and a Hatchet like my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet, I.can easily carry a Canteen and a Necessities Pouch on my Survival belt and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee on the open fire and a baked potato and sight scene the nature as I scout a new area or look for fatwood. Oh, for some real delicate sawing I use a Lenox JabSaw.
