What is the standard factory sharpening angle on the Buck 110 & 112? I tried the search function but it isn't working.

Thanks,

Edge 2K clammie packs says 26 to 32 Degrees...

Prior to edge2k says 35 to 50....

common consensus here is put the edge on one that is easy for you and works for you.

I appreciate the response. I generally try and stay as close to factory angle as I can, of course with a Lansky that is either 25° or 30°.

Thanks,

25 is my standard on the lansky, but have been playing with the 20 some on different knives. Kinda depends on the knife and what I am doing with it.

Have used the 25 on my 110's in years past. With the newer S30V and other steels. Going to try the 20.

Did anyone else see the response I posted to this thread today around 0630???

It doesn't seem to have taken...but I saw it posted...

i used to rough in a bad edge at 20 on the lansky and then finish on the 25 for edc at work the last 15 years...
before lansky i hand sharpened 440 at roughly 30 and abused the snot outa it like cutting metal banding on conduit...
for hunting i had one that i keep at 20 on ultra fine for meat ect..
i dont hunt no more :thumbdn:so that is moot not mute..
if i did i would use S30V steel and 20% on lansky...
your milage will verry good...

Must have muted :D

Well, it's moot now... :D

now i would say the server was mute
but i guess that is a moot point now
taken or riped from the wilds of english!:p

I use 15 degrees on pretty much all my knives (30 degrees inclusive).
This works really well for me for woodcraft purposes. I can get really
deep cuts into the wood and it slices thru other materials like cardboard really well.
