12.5" Hira Zukuri Tanto in 3V

I just finished this double ground 12.5” CPM3V Hira Zukuri O-tanto. This one is .295” at the ricasso with a nice distal taper in the last third of the blade. The handle features a large Zirc menuki, is epoxy soaked and very durable. This is a fantastic cutter (see videos) and is nicely balanced.






I suck at cutting but the blade does not. Took a huge chunk of wood on the last cut. : )

Ha Ha, when you look down at cut bottles at the end of the video, you look like you went back in time to when you were 12yo.... You found the water from the fountain of youth bottled up in handy pre-packaged containers... it just needed a Tendick Blade to release it's secrets!:D

Any reason why you went with such thick stock?

A thick spine, full flat grind and some distal taper maker for a powerful cutting blade that can pierce as well.
It just seemed right for this one.
