Hi everyone, I have a question for anyone who may have some advice. I have a 1902 Sears & Roebuck Farmers Forge my father and I restored back in the 70's. I used it part time to make knives and other iron work for many years. With my health problems getting worse as I get older (I am a disabled veteran) I am seriously thinking of selling it. I haven't used it in years, but it is still really nice. Does anyone know or have any idea what it might be worth? I literally could find nothing like it anywhere online. The closest thing I could find was an off brand one that Sears use to sell around the same time (early 1900's), but it was in really poor shape. Mine is really nice and looks like it came right out of the old Sears catalogue yesterday (right down to the name, patent dates, gold lettering, etc.). it has been well taken care of and the leather belt on it is still really good. I hate to think of selling it, but the truth is I just can't do what I used too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It can vary a lot, but $300-$500 is about the asking price. What you end up getting will be what the deal works out to be. You will have the best luck taking it to a Blacksmith or Knifemaker hammer-in or club meeting and doing a tail-gate.

Also, contact the Northern Ohio or Southern Ohio Blacksmith Guilds.

Thank you, I really do appreciate it very much.
