Looking for recommendations for a 2" fixed blade with a horizontal carry sheath. For self defense.

1) No tantos. As I'm terrible at sharpening them.
2) Nothing to expensive. Less than $75.
3) With a horizontal carry sheath. Or a recommendation for an aftermarket one.
4) Fairly substantial handle. Something to grab onto.

The Clinch Pick is a nice knife in this category. I just don't have $200 to drop in it.

Thank you in advance. Really appreciate the help.

And comes with a good horizontal sheath.
I just bought a Esee Izula for $68. I don’t like the sheath so I spent another $50 for a Armatus sheath. I should have just bought the clinch pick like I wanted in the first place

I know. If I had $200 I'd buy it. Just more oressing things on the agenda.

I did find this cheap version. But really hate the flat edge. And its CHEAP. lol.

There’s always the Minimalist. SMKW has one in D2. It’s a fun little knife.

Edit: Uh-oh … that one’s out of stock. But for self defense, who cares what the steel is?
Thats one of my top choices. But just a tad over legal for me. Considering the huge market in California. I dont know why they added that last .16 of an inch?

Know of any horizontal sheath options? Does it come with kydex? I guess I could find an attachement. I've considered those. I have an esee5 and an esee4hm.
The izula comes with a glass infused plastic sheath that can go vertical or horizontal but I don’t care for it. I ordered a Armatus horizontal sheath that lots of people talk about

Didnt realize that … good point. You might look at different blade shapes … IIRC, they’re not all quite the same.

EDIT: Wharncliffe is listed as 2” on the dot.

I just remembered the MKM Mikro, too … I think they sell a separate Kydex sheath, though that would put it over budget.
Ya. I saw the Wharncliffe. Just not my most favorite edge. But its in the list.

How big of a difference is there between horizontal and vertical carry with a candiru? Considering its small size?
