Hi Guys! Today I'm selling (4) of my Axes. All Prices include CONUS shipping & Paypal fees, and my Paypal is scotts@reeve-knight.com. These are all completely un-used - my son has put edges on all four of these - All four Handles have boiled LS oil & a coat of Danish oil.
**This is a pic of six of my axes...I'll list the other two in this pic tomorrow (two Helko's).
First up is a Vintage American "Worth" axe...the head is in superb shape, the lettering is big & bold, really a great vintage head on a new handle. I believe this is circa '50's. My son hung this 3.5lb head for me on a 30" Hickory handle....he did a great job, as he always does! I'm letting this go for REDUCED TO $59!
Next up is a freaking race car of a felling axe - the Italian Prandi German-Type axe. The 1250gram or 2.75lb head (comes with leather face cover) is long & lean, great geometry. Steel is C45, which is equivalent to 1045. The 31.5" handle is Hickory. I do not like lanyard holes, so I've filled the hole in with African Bloodwood & then sanded perfectly flush/smooth - Looks amazing if I do say so myself, & I do. I'm letting this one go for REDUCED TO $92!
Next up is a Prandi Yankee Hatchet. Same C45/1045 steel head (1.32lb), Hickory handle (12.5"), 3.13" cutting edge. I'm letting her go for $38 - THIS IS SOLD!!
Finally, I'm selling a freaking beautiful Austrian Stubai Forest Axe. The forge finish on the head is as attractive as I've ever seen, really a great looking axe, & like the Prandi, it's relatively long & lean, going to be a fantastic cutter/chopper.
The handle is Ash (65cm or 25.6"), the head is a bit lighter than the Prandi at 2.64lb or 1200grams - so it's a great choice for an all-arounder forest axe....probably why they call it their "Forest" axe, ya think?
I'm letting her go for $118 - THIS IS SOLD!!
Again, my PayPal is scotts@reeve-knight.com. Please post something like "I'll take it" in this sales thread, that way it'll pop up on my email & I'll see it right away. You can PM additionally, but I really prefer that most communication is done via this sales thread - thanks guys!
