These knives excellent – well made, and ergonomic. I’ve just decided I want thinner blades that work for for food prep.
Winkler Belt Knife (top) – a heavy duty short blade for military and hard use
Case Winkler Skinner WITHDRAWN (bottom)– a lighter and faster blade for outdoors tasks (“Skinner” is the nickname of the designer.) It's actually made by Winkler, marketed by Case.
Mirror finished bevels on both knives, just my reflection in the pics.
Case Winkler Skinner with black canvas micarta handles, in excellent condition. I got this recently and used in the kitchen to cut up some vegetables and meat. Works better than the Winkler Belt Knife as it’s slightly thinner stock but is definitely ground thinner. Has a patina in the Caswell finish. Never batoned. Factory edge from Case was uneven and blunt – I have fixed this to 20 degrees on the Worksharp and stropped. I bought it new a couple of months ago, and I also got custom kydex taco sheath since the factory one was HUGE.

Winkler Belt Knife with natural canvas micarta handles, in excellent condition. Just used lightly in the kitchen so has a patina in the Caswell finish. Never batoned. Edge has been reprofiled to 17.5 degrees light convex on the Worksharp and cuts much better but still plenty strong. I am the first owner and bought it new last year.
