Hello all, just want to share my pain and pics.....

Last thursday I bought my first HD. you can see the sucker on my website... but 4 hrs after I bought that sucker I got shoved off the road and cleaned out a ditch for the state (should I send them a bill??????) I got lucky with a concussion, bad cut on right shin, bitten lip, and road rash .....kinda a good day at the divorce courts with an acclaimed abused and battered wife....

Anyways, getting it fixed and hopefully in time for me to leave for OBC. Going to be Commissioned as an Army Officer in the Nurse Corps on September 15. Boy do I need to keep my hands clean from the nasty stuff we do.

I guess not bad after 20 years of being on a motorcycle and now finally having a wreck....just sucks with such a brand new and shiny piece of work.

later yall

sorry if it is..... still the head is pounding. and have 100 inches of cable damascus to make this weekend.

Damn Second Lieutenants.....

Just joking, glad you're ok.

Butter Bars!

Q: What's the most-dangerous creature on the planet?
A: A second lieutenant with a map! :D

Glad you are not dead. I have had a love affair with bikes my whole life, and have survived my share of crashes, so I can relate to what you went through... especially on a brand-new HOG! :(

Cheers to you in better says ahead. ;)

Dude, I know the feeling. When I first got my 1947 Indian Chief I ported, polished and balanced the motor put on $600 new tanks. I was trying to get it done on a Saturday morning to go to a Bro's biker's wedding on Cape Cod. I almost made it to Falmouth when a car cut me off when I was pasting on the right. I was in so much of a hurry I didn't put the air cleaner on. The bike and I went ass over end the bike land in a sand bank running carb down and it just suck all the sand in and both tanks got dented in. The worst part that I hadn't even started drink yet. OH!!! the jugs were already .060" over so there was another $700 bucks to get it running for NOS jugs   .

I appreciate the posts....... I seen the bike and it is more cosmetic than anything... for that sucker to flip, it should did not bend the frame. Almost 7 grand and will be as good as new.... I hope they get it ready soon.....

That woman pulled out in front of me and I went into the passing lane to miss her, then she pulled into the gas station 30 meters from where she pulled out in front of me... So I had no choice.... T-Bone or the Ditch... well, I did land in the grass between the parking lot of the station and the road..... I consider myself lucky.... This is my first Harley.... but I have been riding for over 20 years......

OHHHHH it is sitting at 99 miles on the Odometer..... I hope the next 100 miles is better to me......... so much for back country roads.... guess it is safer on the interstate...

I will never forget I was enlisted.... just have to adjust being around females now.... was in all male MOS...... Airborne!!!!!

Daniel......

"All the Way, Sir!"

Sorry about your bike, did that woman even know she about killed you? I hope karma has caught up with her. Get that bad boy running again soon, and take care. Good luck in your new career!

she said she was stopped in the road with a turn signal on.... and I tried to pass her...

I have one witness behind me and told the cop that she looked like she was doing a u turn in front of me from the gas station....

reality was the road she pulled from was 50 feet from the entrance to the gas station... but the cop did not put it in his report.... so he made it look like my fault........

insurance is trying to get ahold of the witness to straighten things out....

Besides.... I was recon before getting commissioned.... so a map is not scary... just me having to get used to being around women for the first time... at least in the army that is.......LOLLOLOL

Airborne!!!! BTW, going back to Bragg, I just left there and cannot get anywhere else for some reason........

Got that right on my Softail I have 2 1/4" Big Bertha straight pipes. When I leave it idling in my driveway you can see the windows my house and my neighbors flexing in and out. I have a cam in it too. :D :D

I have Phython 3s on my Low Rider; stock with baffles, but plenty loud enough. ;)

I had stock pipes with the baffles drilled out by the Harley shop with a 20 inch drill bit (cost $20).

They would set off all the car alarm systems when I went by.

It use to scare the he!! out of me.

yall are too much...
Funny Kim......

but to think with running lights and so on... on the heritage classic.... one would think that people would not need to hear you first...

maybe with the gas prices going up that less cars will be on the road...

Daniel

 Daniel I never been sure of that switching around from Worker bee to Queen bee and not to all fired sure or the Second luey being that dang dangerous. Hell maybe an almost a 2LT on a 4 hour old HD just might be the most dangerous..... Scuse me it must be just envy talking here. Damn nice Bike and 3 months in San Antone with the flashing eyed Senoritas, you luck dog
