Same here. I’m going to get a box of Damascus sized pieces to save time prepping.
You do know we offer that service. Here are a few pictures of what it looks like. Held together with small tabs so we can stuff 65lbs in a large flat rate box. Now back to our regular scheduled programming

Some zebra wood there on the right that I'm going to use for the handle and saya and a bit of purple heart for the pin I think...

Looks great Gene!
wish I had access to tools to make a saya so I could join in....soon.....

You doing have a hand saw and a chisel?

If you've got them and a file, that's all you really need...

Mine is ready to go!!

Handle is African Blackwood, Brass and Camphor Burl. Saya is Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) with a tapered Basswood core & Lignum Vitae pin, finished in matte lacquer. I'm really looking forward to feedback on this one! This is only my 25th completed knife, so I know there's still a lot to learn.

Unfortunately, I've been looking at all my tools for the past 7 months, just have no space for working. I've been 'couchsurfing' so to speak since I had to sell my house/shop at the start of the year. I'm planning on moving to Portland to rent room and shop space from another blacksmith where I can set up my forge, grinder, etc by the end of the month. Just waiting for the OK to start moving my stuff in.

Hah!! I feel your pain!

I'm using the swim step on my boat as my workbench because my last place had a built in one and I have not had the opportunity to build, buy or clean the garage enough to install one even if I had one!!

Hey fellas, I'm going to have to bow out. I'm just not going to make it in time.
With the new job, new house and no work space set up, it's just not going to happen. Sorry!!

I’m going to extend the deadline through the end of the weekend to October 20, 2019. I must have looked at the calendar wrong, as I typically do a Sunday midnight deadline.

Hmmm that might make all the difference. We'll see what the lady will let me get away with...

Hey Sam, your pics aren't showing up, at least not for me. I'm not in the KITH, but it's still fun to see what everybody makes.
