Surprised that a thread hasn’t been created yet. But moving closer to the drop it would be nice to have this new run in one spot.

2021 Dead Skunk acrylic in production

I am pretty excited about this run. The 2011 Forum knife is a beauty, but fairly unobtainable, so these ones will be a nice addition.

Well now...
What's the blade compliment?

Also: good to see there's no E.O.

Edited to add: Hmm, yes, I see now

Cutfinger Cutfinger as you noticed it will be a spear with a long pull that is unusual for a Tidioute model and the cap lifter. Guess the 2011 cap lifter wasn’t the best design, looks like there might be a slight modification to the new run...but not positive

Has there been a run of 85's since 2011 and now?

If I'm reading the number right, my 852211 Harness Jack was also made in 2011?
How many variations did they make back then? Just the two, (Forum Knife and the Harness Jack) or was there a third, possibly with a pen blade secondary, or as a single blade?

IMHO the 85 does carry nicely.

Edited to ask:
Will there be an Northfield UN-X-LD model/variation?

afishhunter afishhunter GEC had 85 releases in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2018. Over the years they have varied with single spear blades, secondary punches, pen or coping blades. In 2011 I believe they offered models with the secondary pen blade, punches, and the cap lifter for the forum knife.

I’m pretty exited for these. I’ve never had an 85 and the cap lifter makes it more than just another knife to me.

I was hoping this would be the run that puts some inventory on shelves, but based on how quickly the micarta ones were done I’m thinking it won’t be a huge run.

I like that these have no EO notch. I also like how the long pull is a little shorter than on the 2011, which means a slightly bigger swedge.

That bottle shield is pretty dang fun, and the micarta and acrylic are both really nice. I've struck out on the last few GECs I've wanted, hopefully I'll get a chance to buy one of these.

Really like mine as it has NS liners, fine shield & bone  Where's hat TEN years gone....

I'd like a Dead Skunk but no doubt they are all already spoken for;) It's a great acrylic mind

I really like the shape to this pattern. I sure hope i get lucky, otherwise, ill be looking to the exchange.

An 85 crown lifter is a great idea, but probably too hard to snag. Afraid I'll have to settle for the 152214 version. Does anyone know if the bottle openers work on the 2014 models? I remember they did not work well for many purchasers on the BF issued run.

they called the BF #85 ''Candle End Jack'' , haven't noticed that until now-
"Candle End" is the name for a "pointy end"!! It's carried into the #85s from my 2011 Harness Knife!! Bill added it to the pattern as a favor to me, but he doesn't particularly like it!! It's a little harder to finish than a standard Teardrop end!!
