2021 HIKING THREAD



I wanted to start a thread that everybody could post in.
One where we could share our adventures and woods bumming.
Post pics of our favorite BECKER knives in the wild.

Whose trail did you hit up, is it a private kind of trail?

I have watched the pitiful, small amount of snow at 10,000 feet all but vanish. Too bad, hopefully the high trails are "open" to us peasants this go-round. I'ld like to try out the new/used mountain axe.

With my knees in their current state, i cant fathom hiking. I might be able to do 20 minute agonizing strolls when i go camping at least.

That trail is just down the road from me.
Private and public land.

I hear you on the knees.
I just had a root tear repair and that was no fun.
Some sharp pain and a lot of stiffness still.

I figured that as my step challenge is over, I'll contribute here

We've had a nice 10 mile hike today, just around our small Kaiserslautern area here.


Some of those trails were used by Romans and Celts before... Some as astronomical guides, some as trade routes...
