This one is a little different with two muskrat blades. It is very much a purpose-built knife with skinning in mind. When one blade gets dull…switch to the other.

The bull moose is two spring. These appear to be single spring.

82 is just a hair bigger frame.

82 is just a hair bigger frame

The 81 however is squared off so it's a little bulkier. The 82 is a touch more pocket friendly because of this.

not that id buy it, but itd be fun with two full clips come to think of it, i dont gec has made a cigar pattern with two full clips in a long time...

Looking forward to this one, like the muskrat pattern, a slim graceful pattern. If you don't want to skin small furry animals will probably make a great kitchen slicer and steak knife.

Here are some pictures with the 81 coon skinner & the 82 possum skinner. As said before the rounded off bolsters of the 82 makes it a little bit more pocket friendly but in fact they are very very similar.

That #81 coon skinner with slanted bolsters is really nice I hope we will see another slanted bolsters soon.

Those look nice. Regardless of if it a GEC or another company, I’ve always liked the muskrat pattern. Interesting enough I own zero muskrats. I had one when I was a young man and gave it to a friend when I moved away.
