Hey, it is that time of year again. Buck's retail customers are offering their 2024 knife combo gift tins. Yes, I collect these. So far, I have found the following: 2 at Walmart, 1 at Menards, 1 at Duluth trading, 1 at MidwayUSA, 1 at Red Hill Cutlery. These are all run of the mill standard offerings. One of the Walmart ones has a imitation stag Canoe in it. Duluth Trading I think is doing it for the first time. One that I may call to your attention is from Academy Sports, They have white Delrin scales, very unusual. I do not yet have all of them in hand yet but, when I do, I'll post pictures. Please tell me if you see them somewhere else. Thanks. I wish Buck would make a list of what they made so that I don't have to hunt them down. I am probably missing some. And there may be more yet to be released. I haven't checked Canadian Tire yet. They sometimes have some but they are a pain for people in the US to get. They don't ship them to the US.
Edit: Red Hill doesn't appear to have it anymore but the same one is at SMKW, Sheels, and other places.
Edit 2: Attached pictures of what I received so far. More to come.
Edit 3: Added white POM handles from Academy Sports
Edit 4: Only 10 pictures allowed - added Duluth Trading at end of thread.

The white POM scales on the knives in that Academy Sports tin are Polyoxymethylene.

I had to look that up 😁

Delrin

Continued with OP.

Added Duluth Trading

Yes, that is from Canadian Tire. I have gone to Canadian Tire myself to pick up sets because I live close by in Michigan. It's not easy. And when I told the Canadian border guards that I was entering Canada to go to CT to buy knives, they held me for about two hours and thoroughly searched my vehicle. :) Too honest. But, I think for this set, some very generous person from Canada actually picked it up at CT for me and sent it to me at no charge. I was very grateful for that. That set is not new for 2024. I am not seeing any new sets at CT. I have about 120 unique sets now. There are a few sets from former years that came from CT that I am missing. Many of them have moose on them and are very cool.

It is hard for me to determine what is all out there. I did a lot of internet research on it. I found about 130 different sets, 10 of which I am missing. But I imagine I am really missing 10 to 20% more. There is no list for me to compare to see what was produced. I just found a new one yesterday that I didn't know existed.

Yes that was me
No Problem Just didnt remember the models that were in there
They are on half price at $40
There was a moose one I found on ebay a little while ago from Realtree. It was from CT. It wasn't in the original clamshell packaging but still a good specimen. Also, it had a Canoe in it, which I like.

I wonder if we will ever see 110-112 tins again.. I remember the absolute frenzy the Walmart 110's on clearance had. It was frantic contest to find them and get the lowest price! Many found a bunch below $15.00 a few around $12.00 and very fortunate folks below $10.00. I think the record was six and change. For years after that Customs were made and rehandled with that run. When the 112 tin came out I burned a LOT of gas searching..and never found one.

There was a 120th anniversary 110 tin that came out last year. I think it started at $69. But on the close-out, it was much cheaper. Even though, I have that tin, in this collection I am concentrating on tins that have more than one knife. Of course, probably the best one is the 112/113 B&C burlwood one. Also, the 301/309 is nice - I'm still searching for that one. The vast majority in my collection are Chinese ones.
