Hi. I just bought a black fox one 2x72 grinder. I’m looking to buy belts. The ones I picked out are 3M 984F Cubitron II in 36/60/120 grits, 3M Regalite Polycut 707E in 220 grit, 3M Trizact CF A65(280 grit), and to sharpen my edge 3M 307EA Trizact A30(600 grit). I planning on getting two of each belt. On Pop’s Knife Supply it will cost $110 before tax/shipping. Is this a good option for belts and belt progression?

Pop has good videos on belt selection.....if you haven't seen them already.
It kind of comes down to what works for you. Also, if you can tell us what steel you plan on using , people can give you better suggestions. When you do start grinding, pay attention to the recommended belt speed and pressure so you get the most out of your belts. Pop's is my go to supplier and I have never had a problem. They are good people.

I think you did a great job on picking out progression. Grab a couple of the VSM ceramics. They are considerably cheaper than the 3M, but I have great luck with them. I've never tried the Regalite myself so I can't give feedback on those. For the CF Trizacts I would get 160, 100, 65, 45. Skip the 30 for now.

That’s VSM Ceramic Belts to the OP. I grind Stainless Steels after HT and find these to work best for me. I use 50-60 of the grit then they go to the profile etc pile or I give to a noob just starting out. We all grind a bit different with speed, pressure etc. kept notes of each belt & brand till you find your sweet spot with belts.

Pops has the best prices I know of. The VSM are the best value that I have found. I find Norton Blaze belts to be the best I have used but they cost more. I recommend burying at least 2 of each so you can go back and try a sharp belt to decide if something really was better. New sharp belts make a bigger difference than how long a belt last in its worn state. At least for me.

I get mine from TruGrit. They’re a little cheaper per belt if I’m not mistaken. At any rate, they are very good belts, especially for the price.
