3 in S110V w/Carbon Fiber and Desert Ironwood

These three are all in CPM S110V, heat treat by Peters' to RC 62-63. Handles are thick LVA Carbon Fiber with desert Ironwood inlays. Tow have Titanium corby bolts and one has copper. Liners are either Blue or white G10 on tapered tangs.

Nessmuk (3 finger), Boat knife (sheepsfoot/modified), and my interpretation of a fixed blade Lanny's Clip point belt knife.

Those are exceptional...great job on the 'cleanliness'. :cool:
 
Hi Lynn,

I finish grind S110V and hand sand up to 3000 grit (a little excessive) before HT. When they come back from Peters' I remove the oxide layer with whatever end grit I plan to use (usually 500-600 grit) with WD-40.

Pre-HT S110V is not the easiest steel to work with, post HT it would be a nightmare!
