3D knives

How did you do that...? They are great 3d works, what program do you use and how long did it take to do them. They are great...!

I would also be interested in knowing what software you used. The version of SolidEdge I currently use only allows for a single colored texture, although I can shade it a good bit with my lighting options, just not fany textures.

I would love to be able to use some wood grains and damascus in it.
 
I use an evaluation version of Rhinoceros 1.1. It can be downloaded at www.rhino3d.com. The only limitation is that you can save only 25 times (after that the evaluation period expires ). I found about it from Jens, who gives me hints about how to draw. It is quite easy to use, I'm not a very good designer but I manage drawing a knife in a few hours (I start with a 2D coted drawing in order to respect the real size of the knives). Hope it helps.
