4 Max Elite discontinued?

Was the high end 4 max discontinued? I got rid of mine awhile back and regret it.
 
don't know but see plenty in stock around various dealers and even one who says backorder is okay on it. also see it in stock at cold steels website. so if it is, it's not happening just yet......maybe this year sometime theyll stop production on it?

where ya see that it was?
 
I don't know; if this particular model has been discontinued per se. At a list price of over $340 dollars, they might have trouble moving the inventory. Especially, since the budget Scout makes a better fiscal choice for many, as it also; comes in color variants for under a $100 dollars. As jbmonkey states, they are readily available for purchase at a number of sites. The price for the Elite is a little pricey, considering the 5 Max costs less, and its not cheap either!

That makes me mad. It's not worth $300 but the Scout feels cheap. Cold Steel needs to scrap the Scout, replace the titanium with steel or aluminum, and drop the Elite to 200.
 
I find nothing cheap feeling about the Scout, in fact, I think it’s a heck of a value, simply for as much material as goes into one… especially for as little that they often go on sale for.

I carry one of my Scouts (I have two, you know, just in case of the highly unlikely circumstance I ever destroy one) far more often than my Elite, just because it’s equally as capable and I don’t have to worry about it.
