40th Anniversary leatherman.

Leatherman Garage is a 🤬it-show. Whatever goes on there is snatched up within 10-20 minutes of being posted and ends up on ebay for hugely inflated prices for collectors. In my opinion the only thing on there that was interesting was the Mr. Crunch.

I've heard that this latest batch will supposedly have a full production version that will be sold to regular consumers, so I don't see the point of releasing a garage batch of them. If I've been misinformed then please correct me.

edit: In the video, he says "our classic can opener", but the design of that can opener looks like it's actually a copy of Victorinox's can opener. Leatherman's can openers have a much different profile which has a downward curve with a pointed tip. The can opener he's showing in the video has an upwardly curved blade matching the same profile as the can opener found on most models of Victorinox's 84mm and 91mm swiss army knives.

😂😂
Yeah I. don't think I will ever get my hands on 1. Interesting though.

Looks nice if they make production version of it. I dont like the thumbstud though.

I don't think this is the right tool to commemorate Leathermans 40th anniversary.
I don't know exactly what I'd rather see, but it should have been a tool with some kind of significance to leathermans past.

Of course not the PST that they already offer a special reproduction of, maybe reintroduce the mini tool or something.
Wasn't that the 2nd model they introduced?

i really do not get the fascination with "color ways"...I've never seen any cerakote finish that lasts over time; I can only imagine what that white coating will look like after a month in the pocket or even just a week of hard use. this sort of product must be targeted towards fanboys and collectors.

I agree, cerakote is a turn off. Give me something that I can use without it looking like crap when I actually use it.

Heh, the site has crashed from all the folks trying to get these, it's still struggling to load 7 minutes later. Price was/is $275, incidentally.

Technically somewhat savvy, still missed out. I'd love to know if anyone has successfully set up a bot to nail these drops ala CPK

I tried but at every screen change the site crashed. By the time I got to the pay screen 15 minutes into the process it was out of stock. Guess I didn’t “need” one after all 😀

It’s nice to get a notification and then immediately find out it’s sold out. 😡 Then find them on secondary market for outrageous prices 😡😡😡😡

Interesting.
The price is better than I thought it would be. Although if it ever got to Australia the usual mark would be high.

It hardly matters what the price is if the only way to buy it is to pay some greedy scalper.

Supposedly the Leatherman Arc is still going to be made as a regular production model which should be great for those of you who were excited about getting a multitool with a magnacut knife blade. I don't want one, but I hope you all will get what you've been wanting.

Agreed about the scalping.

Does anyone here know if the EUROPE75 will go into regular production?

I like the toolset in this one, and it seems to fix some of the complaints I've seen with the P2 and P4 tools. I could see myself picking up a regular production version of this if it gets made.

I just scored a Batch #004 EUROPE75 at a $100 markup. Should be delivered in a few days. It looks like a good multi-tool to pair with a fixed blade at the farm as a change up from my city EDC.
