Of the two mentioned, I have the Rush 24. I've used it locally a couple of times, traveled with it once and, all in all, have been quite happy with the purchase. Size wise, it's at the upper end, but well within the limits of what's allowable for airline carry-ons. The stitching and overall build quality appears to be very good. Only time will tell, though. The feature I like the most is the layout of the compartments. There's a hydration pouch in the back, a generous main compartment and then two smaller, easily accessible pouches on the front. Each of the three storage compartments have additional internal flaps and zippered pouches which makes the pack great for organizing lots of small items. You can also tell from the online pictures that the outside of the bag has lots of webbing for additional attachment points. The only down side to all of this is that the bag is no light weight, especially when compared to the more streamlined offerings from the mountaineering companies. Shop around on price for this one. Optics Planet matched the best I could find.
