An employee of mine want's to pick up a knife, preferably a Butterfly knife.
The only problem is his budget around 50.00. Are there any Butterfly knives worth buying at this price range? I would not mind throwing in another 50-60 for a better blade, as he does do a good job.

Thanks
Guys/Gals.

I'd try this in the Balisong/Butterfly Knife subforum there aren't many decent balisongs under the $50 price tag. But the Bradley Kimura is under $100 and is worth the price.

I like the Mtech Twist. Got mine for about $30...very nice bali, sharp as hell and has good balance. Cut my knuckles twice the first couple days I had it, lol.

dang the twist keeps getting pricier and pricier. Seems a month ago they were ~$23.

Also, it helps to get a trainer, before (or to accompany) an actual balisong.

I second the Bradley Kimura, around $85-90, they have 3 different blade styles, a decent knife steel (14C28N) Good sized blade, not over large, but not small, has torx screw pivots not week feeling pins like some in the 20-$40 range. Feels good in hand and feels quality, also made in USA.

It's really the only quality balisong in its own price range, being made in the USA with quality materials and all.

yeah, i think that's close to the best you can do in the price range. i got a black one for around $21 + shipping. worth it, though a tad heavy.

I have a $5.00 balisong recommendation. :D Try out one of those Balisong box cutters that use the disposable blades. I got one from Smokey Mountain and they are pretty fun to play with! ;)

I have a might still have a korean butterfly brand new in the box. if you like I will go down to my stoarge area and see if I still have it. you are looking at $35.00 shipped. it is very good for the money.

Thanks everyone, apoligize for not getting back here sooner, work is killing me right now.
Anyway, I have just decided to buy him a Microtech, or a benchmade butterfly. I'm not even sure of their current offerings, but I will do some research, and go from there, I just want him to have a knife he can really enjoy and use for years. He will be getting married soon, so I will just get it for his wedding present. I won't forget the Mrs either though!
