The 531 is my número uno fav. Seriously, one of the easiest carries in the arsenal. In most ways, I feel like its the perfect city EDC...

I like that yours is way more gray than mine. I don't buy black knives, and my 531 is the closest.

Good knife. I'd like to get a deep-carry clip for it and my 940.
 
A very special 530-1302, 16/30, given Gold class treatment from the factory. Convex S30V, all hardware polished, and CF scales fine-tuned.

Hey Joe,

Was that -1302 released from KW with the polished D-nuts/hardware?

Looks nice, I thought about doing that with my -1303 hardware, but ended up liking the parkerized (scratched/abused) look mixed with the CF.. I’m contemplating polishing them on one of my CF sets.
 
The batch of these KW 1302's was hurried, and left much to be desired. Crappy F&F was the main culprit. Benchmade offered to make the knife in the photos 'right'. So it went to one of their Gold class specialists, where among other things on the list all of the black hardware was hand polished. Photos of the thing aren't bad, I have a good camera. But they did a superb job and I'm still thrilled with it. Only problem, for good or bad, is now this 1302 is a one off. But in value, whether it's worth more or less I got exactly what I wanted in the end. :)
 
Though I love these, I sold my 530 to thin the herd, I hope to find a CF one day. Nice ones there BTW Meticulous

Well, yours turned out great IMO :thumbup: I’m really diggin’ the polished look.. and it’s even cooler that it had special gold class treatment IMO.. You shouldn’t be worried about resale value, it’s a meager profit anyway.. Just enjoy her!

I’m not into collecting for resale.. I’m super picky about the models I choose.. For example, I’m not going to pickup any of the new 2016 lineup.. But if they release any 530/810 LE’s, I’ll probably pick up multiple lol

Thanks bro, there’s a poll over on the BKC home forum for a future 530-1 (or) 531-1 carbon fiber (steel upgrade) release, to gauge interest.. I feel like there will be a -1 model in the near future, especially if we show there is demand for one!

Thanks Joe, from a fellow 53X aficionado that means a lot :) I've been very pleased with the GC designs, especially with the Ti.. The added heft makes all the difference with the slim build.. I'm hoping that there will be a few more LE's/Golds for the 531 in the future, preferably a 531DM!
 
I keep getting tempted by that REI green 531. Hopefully I'll have one to share in the near future.
 
I love the 530/531 series. I wish I could afford one of the Gold Series versions and I wish I knew about the CF/S30V REI versions. Tempted to grab the new REI version but I have enough knives for now in fact I am liquidating much of my collection. No 530/1's on the chopping block.

Here's an old picture with my OG 440C 530 from years ago, my current #1 EDC 531 and 530 I bought last year so I wouldn't loose my OG 440C. Got a back up 531 in the safe.
