551-1 Discontinued?

Hi All, Benchmade discontinued a bunch of coated and serrated models and seems like the entire "plastic" line of Griptilian are discontinued as well.

However it seems like the only thing unexpected is that 551-1 satin plain edge is also on the discontinued list? I checked multiple retailers and many has 551-1 marked down. However the sheepfoot 550-1 model isn't discontinued.

Can anyone confirm whether the plain edge, 20CV, satin 551-1 griptilian is also gone?
 
I see a lot of advertising for the 551-1 as discontinued is it true or not . I know Benchmade is doing S30V on the regular grips. But I want to know if the -1 are being discontinued.
 
I m still glad I picked up a Ritter Grip with m390 steel and a high flat grind while they were available. I m fine with the original handles and appreciate the light weight. Great work knife.
 
The 550-1, 551-1, 555-1 and 556-1 are all listed in the new 2019 Benchmade catalog. So it’s safe to assume they’re still with us.

Yep, when I went to the dealer's site, they're marked 'sold out,' and also the 'sale price' looks a lot like the price before the sale.
 
Anyone know what kind of prices were on the discontinued Grips and mini-grips? I saw them but can't remember what they were.

I can't find any online anymore but a local dealer has quite a few in stock and they will match or beat any online pricing. I'd like to pick up a few locally but need something to show them as far as price goes.
 
The regular Mini Grips/Grips were running $75 - $85, if I remember correctly. I picked up a “discontinued” 555-1 for $136.50.
 
It's just the BK ans Serrated -1 SKUs that are discontinued.

Thanks, that's what I'm after, now just to find a site that still lists the prices so I can show them.....
