Phil (The Comprehensivist) has been a wonderful and patient customer of mine for years. He ordered a custom sheath, some time ago, for a Bark River Camp Knife (a sword as I called it). After being very patient I delivered this to him, some time ago:

But there was a custom handled firesteel he wanted a case for as well... That took me... a bit longer. Okay - a lot longer. He wanted a K&M Long Match Case with a firesteel loop and a particular type of flap to secure them both. I just couldn't get my head around it very well and so it lingered.

Until this weekend. Here is what I came up with:

I hope he digs on it as much as I do.

Also - I have released another product to the market. A bushcraft Possibles Pouch / Stuff Sack / Dice Bag / Coffee Bag / Who knows what you put in there?

Outstanding work Jason! The camp knife sheath is beautiful!

I've been going to pick up a K & M match case soon and now it looks like I'll need a leather case for it as well. That is extremely useful with the firesteel loop.

And the there are the possibles pouches.... Wow those are right in my wheel house! I'm going to go broke on Andy's site between knives and leather goods!

I love that firesteel/match case holder. I think you might be getting some more requests for something like that.

Awesome work Tal; the match case sheath is really cool; I'm sure Phil will love it

Thanks Jason! You really nailed it with the design and finish work on this. The color is perfect. Even though this project took a while...........you are always great to work with. I appreciate your willingness to take on projects that are outside of your normal designs.

I borrowed the concept for this project from a similar pouch I had made a few years back by another company for my Leatherman Wave and a firesteel.

I always liked that design, but I wanted to upgrade the quality of the leather work for this project which I knew Jason could provide based on my experience with several of his sheaths. He proved me right by refining the design to make it leaner and very attractive. I will shorten the firesteel when it gets here to make it even with the bottom of the sheath.

I’ll add some more photos when it gets here.

Thanks again Jason!

Phil
