I have a small project going on that involves Robert Loveless designs. I am not a loveless kind of maker so to speak, although I do enjoy looking and handling them. I am quickly becoming a fan!

I started out with a "Drop Hunter" (A friend / writer drew up the final template). I then moved on to my favorite the "New York Special" which opened up some new making challenges for me. Also my first time giving the buffer a serious work out..

That NY special is very cool Ryan. I expect to see a big bear next! :D

Love that NYS Ryan. The gaurdless design is stunning with the way to did the double grind but theft the ricasso thicker like that. Always been a huge fan of your work.

I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon like everyone else. The NY special is my favorite. It's got the Loveless lines with the Ryan W twist.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I always like to try new things (new to me anyway). I didn't know a whole lot about Loveless but have been getting an education the last few weeks.

Pap11y unfortunately they are not for sale at this time. The black one is Bog Oak and 1095. The New York Special is Redwood burl and 1084.

Thanks Claudio!

I am sticking to the Loveless theme, here is my version of his Chute knife.

Had some more fun with a Loveless drop hunter... This one in CPM 154, Green Canvas Micarta & Ruby Red Liners. Sand blasted and stone washed.
