Photos A Walk in Nature

Well, it looks like the bulk of my paperwork backlog for this Friday is done :)

Time to take a virtual trip in nature, reminisce about past walks.

I am sure ragweed pollen is the cause of my seasonal allergies very August/September.

Don't know about this other yellow flower.

Cattails:
I found out recently that there is a growing population of wild "super pigs" in parts of Canada
A hybrid of European wild boar and domestic pig that is threatening habitats and damaging crops etc. They can grow very large, up to # 600.
They are very smart and use the cattails plant to build "Pigloos" where they can keep very warm even in the coldest days.

My most carried knife has been the one in the post above.
A standard lambsfoot by A. Wright & Son in ebony.
I agree "plain and simple is just beautiful" Ebony and cocobolo are my favorite wood covers

I didn’t walk to far,just to my garden 😁

This is why I put a yellow lanyard on this one.

you can see how smooth/flush the pins are compared to some.

I just cleaned the blade again,I didn’t like the way the patina was going, lesson learnt don’t force it.

Fantastic display of colors in those pics, Dan.
Thanks Greg !
I cant argue with that,my other orange one I took 3,500 miles around Spain with me this year.
I love my soddies too Johnny  . Would love to see more pics of your Spain adventures.

You inspired me to take my Case sodbuster on our walk this afternoon.

Found a carnivorous plant called "The northern pitcher plant".
Fortunately it did not devour my soddie 😄

That is a scary looking plant.

great pictures. quick Question about the English knife, I have noticed the ricasso on it sticks out a little more than I have seen on similar American knives, is it so that part hits the back spring and not the blade? I assume not stop pins. Just curious as I admire this knife in the gorgeous picture.
