I was at REI (outdoor/camping store for those outside of the DC/Metro area) and saw a solution to my dilemma of how to add a clip to a Victorinox Spirit. I love that tool but I would carry it as an EDC if I could somehow attach a clip to it. Here is the solution:

It is a bit pricey ($11) but it works well and, best of all, no drilling or alteration is needed....just a very strong adhesive tape. I just bought and installed it today so time will tell how durable it is.

Now a whole new world of possibilities has opened up.....

Here are some crappy cell phone pics so you can get an idea of size, etc.

I'm curious too. Heat and moister combined with weight over time ? I would be curious to see if it holds up, over the next three months. Cool idea, hope it works out, let us know.

Looks pretty good, let us know how it works out. Here's another option.

I'll be sticking with the one I've got. :D

I've been looking at that clip as well. But have put off buying it because of not knowing how strong the adhesive is.

Please let us know how it works out for you.

That 3m vhb is tough stuff, have seen it used on an M style spoiler on a 5series bimmer. Has held up through through two or three years of New England seasons. Of course if it fails for the pocket clip you could always rough up both faces and apply a good epoxy, maybe drill small holes on the clip mating surface for the epoxy to get some extra bite.
