SOG After 40 years , gonna try SOG again ! Blackout Pillar , on order .

Good looking blade. I think they stepped it up lately want to see more good stuff from SOG.

I have 2, I like the knife and the sheath. Throw the faux tek lock in the trash. I added a zip tie to the sheath for increased retention.

I also ordered a Pillar last night; I've had me eye on it since it hit the market and at $99.00 and free shipping, it's a no brainer.

I like the SOG Kiku XR. But I’m hesitant on pulling the trigger.
20% off sale and free shipping at SOG through 4/8/24...

Received mine today . No flaws grossly detected .

Box and packaging is kinda big and elaborate . Nice for a gift maybe , but cumbersome to store for collector . I'm not keeping the box .
whatcha think of it Doc? besides the packaging..ya already covered that😁

The pillar has been an on again off again interest, ultimately off as I don't foresee any real use I'm my personal life

Really like the handle . Works well for me in every grip I use .

The blade has that nice SOG styling . Sexy ! Seems functional also .

Only thing that might have been better designed for function is that finger choil , on the blade .

Kind of square shaped and skimpy . Felt cramped and a bit unsafe , even for my medium finger size .

Wish they had either committed fully to a better finger rest or just extended the blade back all the way . Maybe some serrations there , to cut rope .

agree on the choil. I would have rather had a full edge rather than that choil.

Mine arrived today in perfect condition with a nice even grind and a very sharp edge; I can find no faults or defects. The choil is a style choice; I have no issues with it. A large milled slab of S35VN, a kydex sheath, and micarta scales made in the USA for $99.00 shipped, what's not to like? Not all SOG knives are created equal.
