Just bought a thick little Juice XE6. It was on sale for half the price so I couldn´t resist it. It´s small, quite heavy but it looks and feels absolutely gorgeous! Anoyone else use this little bugger? Is the quality good? Any known flaws? I will try to use it as EDC for a while.

The Xe6 is the largest model in the Juice series that is still in production. There was one slightly larger model that was discontinued in 2003, the Juice Pro, which added tweezers and a foil cutter.

The only one of the Juice series that I've owned is the S2. I'd be interested in hearing your impressions on the Xe6.

Hello Slowstarter, I would like to know where you got the xe6 at half price, and a little review, as well. I'm kind of curious to know how well the corkscrew works. Thanks, Patrick.

Well, there is a shop here in Sweden that had it for sale, http://www.alewalds.se so if you´re in Stockholm you could grab it :-)

I´m very pleased with the XE6, the pliers comes in real handy with all the christmas junk you have to decorate you´re house with. And I really like the snap when you´re open the pliers.
I haven´t tried the corckscrew yet but it looks like it could open a bottle of wine, or two.
The knifes is sharp and perfect size for urban use. I haven´t used the file but it´s nice to have it there.
The scissors is great!
It´s a little big and heavy in your pocket but you´ll get used to it and you´ll only notice it when you´re sitting absolutely still, doing nothing.
The awl is not so good and the can-opener is a joke. The worst can opener I´ve ever seen in my life!
The XE6 is a really good tool. But you´ll have to get used to its weight!

Good tool. The awl and can opener work well once you sharpen them.
You can open the screwdrivers for more plier leverage.
You can stash a Vic. tweezers and needle under the Phillips blade.
You can scribe tick marks for a ruler on the scale's sweet spot.

It's a pretty good smaller too, but on mine, all the tools have some wobble (side to side play), and the spring for the larger screwdriver fell off years ago. I haven't sent it back to LM yet, might still one day, but it's a decent tool for it's size, but not so much for your pocket. Maybe for your belt in a sheath.

Hi there, I don't post very often on these forums, and I hate to be Mr Negative, but I had a rather unpleasant experience with my Juice Xe6's. I got one for a gift a few years ago and within about a month, the main blade spring broke. I returned it, Leatherman kindly replaced it with a new one due to a fault in the metal.

A few months later, the same thing happened, in a different spring. Same thing again, it was replaced by Leatherman, it had a fault in the metal.

I didn't have it very long and it happened again!!! I couldn't believe it! One of the springs broke due to a fault in the metal. I wasn't using them roughly or anything, they were never wet and left to corrode. Just a handy tool I keep in my guitar case for maintenance and what not on my guitar gear.

Anyway, I returned it again to the store it was bought it from and swapped it for a Wave model. I've had that one for about 2 years now, no problems at all.

Leatherman were fantastic with their warranty replacements, I guess I just got unlucky and had a few faulty models. I hope you enjoy your Xe6 and don't have the dramas that I had.

I love the xe6. One thing that I've noticed that I haven't seen posted anywhere -- that Juice has more tools than most, if all, full sized leathermans!

I'm getting a (gray) XE6 for Christmas. Actually its here just wrapped up and waiting under the tree. I got to play with it for an hour or so before it was wrapped up, hey it was a mail order job and i had to do a "quality inspection" to ensure it wasn't defective, lol.

From my brief playtime with it it seems to be the multi i've always been waiting for.
I have a Leatherman Wave and multiple Micras and a SOG paratool plus 50-ish SAKs, i guess mostly i'm a SAK-aholic.
To me the XE6 feels and looks like it should have been a Victorinox design not a Leatherman. its the most SAK-ish multi tool i've seen.
I can't wait to play with it.... woohoo!

That's exctly what happened to mine with the back spring. I haven't sent it back or anything, but damn. I wonder if they are all flawed like that.

Yeah i just started using my xe6 and for the most part i am very pleased with it!
Almost all the utility of the Wave in a smaller lighter package.
The only thing it lacks is the locking tools, but i've been using slipjoints most of my life so i don't see that as any big hardship.

But yeah compared to the canopener on Victorinox/Wenger even other Leathermans the xe6 canopener is a little clunky.
The main problem is the end is too rounded and doesn't easily puncture the can top. Once the puncture is made it works fine though.
I will definitely be putting more of a point on the canopener soon though, that minor mod should make it work better.
:)
