All about Bucklites and Selector's & 110's & 112's LTs and Slims ...

I don't have the proper membership level to post a pic, or I would. Sorry. It has a 4-1/4" black handle that's squared off with finger grooves along the bottom edge. There are only two rivets -- one for the blade pivot, and one about half way back for the lock. Small lanyard hole at the end. I had a hard time determining which model it was since it has 112 stamped on the blade. Date code indicates 2000. Only other markings are "Buck" and "USA" on the blade, and "Bucklite" centered top to bottom in the handle under the lock. Exposed blade length is about 2-7/8" and about 3-1/4" if you measure from the pivot. Clip point from pretty heavy stock -- about 1/8" thick. Hopefully that helps to identify it.

It was a knife that I got as a gift from my old employer, and my go to knife at the time was one with a pocket clip. Didn't rotate my daily carry back then, so into the box of unused blades it went. Fast forward almost 16 years, and I just rediscovered it the other day. It's a pretty good looking knife, so I decided to do some digging to find out a bit more about it. Thanks for the help.

BullyFan, anyone can post picturees... I use photobucket...
You have a 422 handle... That is very common... You can
find 112's with 422 blades too... It works both way...

Your Bucklite frame/handle is a second generation knife...

I hope that helps you... Does it look like this...

Yep! That's it. Thank for the help. Pretty striking clip point. I may have to start carrying it every once in a while.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought I tried to post a pic a while back and couldn't since I didn't have a paid membership. Must be thinking of another forum.

My lightly modified 484:

I sanded the back side down flush where it meets the blade. This makes a big improvement on how it feels in the hand, and it looks more like the classic buck folders.

Honestly with this design change and some stainless (or titanium!) liners, I would consider it a near perfect edc.

Thanks TX, for sharing a picture of your 484...

I don't have one yet... Good idea...

:)

Another second generation Buck 422 with a 112 blade. OH

Honestly, I picked it up on a whim after reading this thread a while back. I own a bunch of knives with fancier steel and price tags, but this one meets all my edc needs just fine, without the worries over losing it.

I use the first generation 422 Bucklite more than any other buck knife... But I do like to rotate... I like my 186, 560, 500, 501 and a 305...

:)

I was recently gifted this Buck 283 NANO BANTAM. Not sure if these are considered BuckLite knives or are simply inexpensive knives made to sell as giveaways - glad it was given to me. OH

Old Hunter, I wouldn't call it a Bucklite but I like the stamping on the blade...
Anything with a Indian or a Buffalo on the blade... I like it... Cool Knife and
picture... Thanks for sharing it...

:)

ITE, You are welcome - I enjoy what you have started and maintained in this thread - much, much knowledge on these Bucks! OH

422 Bucklite...

Well, I found a knife at the German eBay that looks like a 422
Bucklite without Bucklite logo. Did Buck ever made the Bucklite 422
for the German supplyer Herbertz without the Buck logo on it or is it a
B.F. counterfeit? I have no picture actually but here's the auction
number: 172721996162
What do you mean?

IMG_2243.jpg IMG_2242.jpg IMG_2241.jpg These Bucklites are modified with premium blades, pocket clips, thumb stud, and push pin quick release lanyard. The lanyard can only be installed on the rivetless Bucklite. The lanyard hole has to be enlarged to accommodate the push pin.
