I posted in here a while ago looking for a place to buy a Fallkniven (A1), got some really helpful feed back and then set off on my search (Didn't really have luck finding any on here, could be my own inability to find the right "sweet spots" at the right time though)

I'll admit I'm a "newb" here and wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for being directed accidentally, but I've been hooked looking around for weeks, so if you feel a bit like rolling your eyes because I'm new, fair enough, trying to feel myself around in the dark here.

I narrowed it down to Knife Works and The Knife Connection (Looking to get a good price, and these seem to be the best), what do you guys think?

On a side note,

I've never tried to have a knife brought over from the USA before (I'm Canadian), keeping hearing mixed things about if it could get over, definitely would appreciate if you guys could give me some insight on how you think that'd go too.

I have never ordered from The Knife Connection. I have made about 7 or 8 purchase from Knifeworks. Each purchase went well. I highly recommend them. I received email notifications when the order shipped and was provided the tracking number. Some orders came on the big brown truck and others came USPS. I will continue to order from them unless I'm just to impatient to wait and get something from a local shop.

I read in another post that he and his employees are stuck on that stranded cruise ship. Prayers for everyone on there.

Someone else may have to talk about any issues with ordering from Canada but I'm in Louisiana, so I make the call and within a few days my order is there.

So far I have ordered a couple of Spyderco and 2 ZT from them.

Knifeworks is among the best dealers out there. Service, selection, prices, reliability.

I've had nothing but good luck with Knife Works. Can't say anything about The Knife Connection as I've never done business with them.

I could not agree more. Roger and his crew are a pleasure to deal with. Highest recommendation from me.

I read that last night, that they were stuck on that ship, it's a good thing that nobodies hurt (as far as I've read about the whole story) must be scary as hell though

Knifeworks is great. I ordered 4 knives from them last year (one order) and had to send 2 of them back because of problems. They accepted the return without issue. I was going to order a Street Beat from them today (I just got my tax refund), but then I read about the entire staff being marooned. Crazy luck.

Extended vacation?:p

I read (from here) that they were gonna come back and work until they got all their orders caught up, they just keep sounding better and better.

They are.

I bought my first real knife from them, and being new to buying knives online I was a bit nervous, but their shipping was extremely fast and their communication was top notch. I've tried other places out since then, but I keep going back to KnifeWorks unless there's a dealer exclusive somewhere else that I can't get from them.

I am in SE Asia and I have been buying from KnifeWorks since approximately 2002. They have kept me happy all this while. 1st class service always from Roger and his team.

Always a good experience with Knifeworks. Good product availability, great pricing, quick shipper.

Both those dealers are good. I'm getting ready to order a couple of knives off my Knife Works wish list. They are back to work as of today from that crazy cruise.

Fixed blades are no problem shipping to Canada. Only some folders get stopped by Customs.

Whatcha getting?

Dale at theknifeconnection.com gave me some of the best service I have ever seen on a recent purchase.

I just sent for one that's been on the list a while:
Benchmade 111H2O Folder, Plain Edge Yellow Handle
Minus the Coupon Code and plus the shipping, I got it for $89.

Basically it's got the Rift handle, which I liked a lot when I got a chance to play with one. I've got a few Beckers in mind and the Contego is very tempting.

Huh, just a little toss in, if anybody else comments on here, maybe they can throw in if they have any experience with Knives Ship Free as a bonus.
