Does anyone have photos of alternate lanyards you have put on your knives? All of mine have the standard black lanyard but I'm debating buying a new one in a different color from CRK. Any colors look better than others?

I’m a fan of the CRK colored ones.

Anyone have a couple feet of 325# to spare? I just can't seem to get 550# though my lanyard pin and bead without removing a bunch of strands... plus, i'm thinking for my small sebenza that 350# will look proportionately better.

This is my absolute favorite looking crk. I wish I would have jumped on these. I also really love the look of that little fixed blade. The terrain looks like southern Utah. Where is that pic taken?
That’s in the Davis Mountain of west Texas :)

REALLY LW..!!!??? Just keep those dream knife photos coming!!!!!WOW!!!

Again!

Here's a few, starting with the WC StarBenza 25....

On my 21's I take out the lanyard pin and go right through the vacated holes. Micarta bead here to more-or-less match the inlays....

KnifeArt 21 with the KA bead re-strung....

StarTac with the Wilson Combat bead. The knife has the Norvox Mod (after the BF member whom I consider its originator) with the extra post in place of the lanyard pin and the cord tied around that....

...and another shot taken with my missed PJ25 that was traded away as part of a deal for a Shiro...

My only "stocker" is on my pre-Idaho drawer queen....

I got my Inkosi from MreeceC MreeceC a few years back and that one still wears his slitted leather tail...

I finally figured out how to feed 550 paracord through the Small Sebenza's lanyard hole without taking the core out (yes, not my best end melting job ever)

Please do share! i'm wanting re-tie a lanyard to my small sebenza because i ended up using 95# cord and HATE how it looks. Plus, looks like you were able to feed it through your bead too, which is great because i still want to use my bead too! were you able to get the 550# through your lanyard pin while still assembled, or did you disassemble?

It's much easier to do when disassembled. I imagine it can be done while assembled, but Sebenzas are so easy to take down that I'd just disassemble it.

I think CRK uses 550 paracord with the white braided core pulled out, as it's tricky to feed through with the thickness the core adds. If you want your lanyard like a typical CR, I'd do that. I wanted a meatier cord, though.

EDIT: They use 325 (3 strand) for Sebenzas and 425 (5 strand) for Inkosis

What you can do is pull the outer shell of the cord back a bit, and cut the core out of a couple inches or so of the 550. This leaves most of the core still in when you straighten it back out.
You then melt the end without the core down to a decent point, then feed that point through the hole in the lanyard pin. You keep pulling through, and once you hit the portion with the core in it, the shell should pull the core in with it just fine (albeit with more force).
After that, you cut the end down so you can melt the 550 again, this time with the white core at the end, too. Then proceed to do your knot tying.

You'll probably be able to feed it through your bead, too. My Sebenza didn't come with a lanyard or bead, so I used a bead from Ti Survival.

Awesome, thank you for the help!

If I thought this thread would help me decide, I was clearly mistaken! I have an incoming Small 21 Insingo and was debating swapping to a Burgundy or Midnight lanyard so I love seeing both in one photo - both look awesome!

Have some thinking to do now!
