View attachment 1334184 Here’s my crosshatch Sebenza with an OD green lanyard and mokume gane bead. The fixed blade is a Tactical Pterodactyl backpacker.
That’s in the Davis Mountain of west TexasThis is my absolute favorite looking crk. I wish I would have jumped on these. I also really love the look of that little fixed blade. The terrain looks like southern Utah. Where is that pic taken?
Beautiful. Reminded me of where my parents live in southern Utah. Similar looking terrain. That’s in the Davis Mountain of west Texas![]()
I finally figured out how to feed 550 paracord through the Small Sebenza's lanyard hole without taking the core out (yes, not my best end melting job ever)

Please do share! i'm wanting re-tie a lanyard to my small sebenza because i ended up using 95# cord and HATE how it looks. Plus, looks like you were able to feed it through your bead too, which is great because i still want to use my bead too! were you able to get the 550# through your lanyard pin while still assembled, or did you disassemble?
It's much easier to do when disassembled. I imagine it can be done while assembled, but Sebenzas are so easy to take down that I'd just disassemble it.
I think CRK uses 550 paracord with the white braided core pulled out, as it's tricky to feed through with the thickness the core adds. If you want your lanyard like a typical CR, I'd do that. I wanted a meatier cord, though.
What you can do is pull the outer shell of the cord back a bit, and cut the core out of a couple inches or so of the 550. This leaves most of the core still in when you straighten it back out.
You then melt the end without the core down to a decent point, then feed that point through the hole in the lanyard pin. You keep pulling through, and once you hit the portion with the core in it, the shell should pull the core in with it just fine (albeit with more force).
After that, you cut the end down so you can melt the 550 again, this time with the white core at the end, too. Then proceed to do your knot tying.
You'll probably be able to feed it through your bead, too. My Sebenza didn't come with a lanyard or bead, so I used a bead from Ti Survival.
I’m a fan of the CRK colored ones.![]()
