Has anyone used an Ameribrade grinder? I was checking out their website and they look tough and well built. I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with one. I had pretty much decided on a Pheer 454 but the Ameribrade looks pretty good as well.

I haven't seen their grinder but I've bought some wheels from them that I'm perfectly satisfied with.

I hadn't heard of them until this post. Looks like they have some pretty decent prices, comparable, if not a little better than oregonblademaker and similar. Seems like a pretty well thought out design for a decent price.

I have not used their grinder. I found them on Instagram and found their wheels. I have their 10" wheel. I am totally happy with the wheel. Their fabrication and welds look great. They're a relatively new company.

Never heard of them before but definitely interesting. I am trying to swing a grinder in the new year. This adds to my list.

Have not had a chance to use the grinder, but I bought a 12" wheel from them that I'm very happy with. Much lower price than one from Beaumont.

It looks like very nice...and the price is attractive. It is not so easy to spend less even trying to build it at home
I'd wait someone's first hand comment, because the weld job can make it or break it. If the parts are not dead square it will give many headaches. Of course this stands true for all the others 2x72.

As a welding inspector, I say the welds look good in all the pics I have seen.

I guess I'm gonna be the odd man out and say, I'm not really digging it. It probably works fine. I just don't feel like paying that much for a few pieces of square tubing welded together. Again, I'm sure it works fine, I just would prefer something a little more stout.

There wheels look good and they're amazingly cheap compared to Beaumont.

They are American Made, except the contact wheel and they are up front about that. The bearing have a one year warranty too. THought about getting one myself.

I might try one of their contact wheels next time I need another... I've always bought Bader wheels and installed my own bearings. Mainly because I can get them running smoother and with less runout than an out of the box Beaumont wheel. Mind you I'm talking 5-10 thou here, Beaumont wheels are pretty damn good.

I know this is an old thread but I’m sure there are others still wondering about this. I just ordered this grinder assembly so when I get it and try it out I’ll have to chime in on my experiences!

I’ve used one and was very impressed. Dead simple design and the guys running ameribrade are a class act.

The tension system is very well thought out

Maineiac1, any feedback on the Ameribrade grinder?

Yes! I ordered the grinder assy with flat platen, 7” drive wheel and work rest. Then added my own 1hp 3 ph 208v 1750rpm motor with a 120v to 208v VFD. So far everything is amazing!! The folks at AmeriBrade are great to work with and have a real high quality product. The idle wheel tension lock is genius for swapping belts and the frame is very rugged. Not a vibration and also hit me with a military discount. I have yet to find a flaw and am working toward buying their small wheel attachment and contact wheel. Don’t be afraid to buy one because I highly recommend it!!

Ordered one yesterday based on all the positive comments I found here and elsewhere. It is supposed to ship in about two weeks. I will give my impressions when it arrives, but it is my first real grinder, so nothing to compare it too.
