Wow. Who would have thought that finding the American icon, jeans that are actually US made, would be such a hard task. Sure, I did my google-fu before posting this and saw some main-stream stuff. But, maybe you can... enlighten me to brands that aren't that well known but offer exception quality in a jean that's American made.

Thank you!

Some Carhartt jeans are made in the US. You'll have to look at the label as the same style jean can be made in the USA or imported. Depends on where you get them. Funny thing is that the local independent store that sells the USA made Carhartt around here, does so at a lower price than the big box store selling the imported version...

Texas jeans are I wear them . all american clothing makes them too , just bought a jean jacket to ride in , first class!!!

Stay far away from Levi's jeans, they absolutely suck. I had a pair of 505s and the crotch area busted open within 5 washes. I was pretty upset that a paid of $45 jeans lasted a month. I emailed Levi's a pretty stern letter and they offered to replace them. I declined their offer because they would only send me more of the same crap. I do like the Lee Premium jeans now, the relaxed fit in particular. You can move around comfortably and they don't look like gang banger pants. No holes, no tears, the knife pocket (FRP) is still in tact even through the toughest knife handles.

Interesting you say that about Levi's - that's what caused me to post this thread. Picked up a pair of Levi's recently and I was surprised to see how quickly the coin pocket began to develop a hole. I hadn't wore jeans for a while before these, and didn't have any at all, but I clearly remember that Levi's used to make a much better jean not that long ago. The denim seems overall of lesser quality... less better put together. I see that Levi's has a premium line too (jeans costing $150.00 plus)... but it does make me wonder where they're made. I looked at the tags of the ones I was buying... the same model was made in three different countries.

I own a couple pairs of Levi's. One pair made in Colombia is constructed with very high quality denim, still no holes or frayed areas. Very impressive. Another is a pair of 501s made in Mexico, stonewashed jeans, heavy denim and no holes. Seems the 505, 514, 569 and others are crap. I guarantee you'll blow the nut area out in record time. As I said, Lee premium denim seems to be tough as nails, comfy, and durable. I'm always on the lookout for quality jeans and other clothing. I used to own the "Silver Tab" and "Black tab" Levi's, one pair lasted me almost 15 years. Friggin indestructible jeans and they looked pretty good considering their age. Make sure the denim is tightly woven, hold the, up to daylight or bright light if possible. The more light seen through them, the further away you should stand from that item. ;)

I wear Wranglers. I'm not sure where they are made but their company politics are not backwards like Levis are, and the product seems to be very high quality.

I got a pair of Roundhouse jeans last year, and I'm about to order a couple more. The pair i have are in good well worn condition, no holes or rips but thy have few light stains so theyre being demoted to dirty work pants and I'll wear the new ones when im going out or to work.
They have a nice regular fit, not tight but not baggy with just enough room to fit nicley over boots.
Oh and theyre only $30. I cant recommend them enough if you want some good ole american made jeans.

I've worn these jeans 1-3 times per week over the past year and theyre still in great shape other than some fading and light stains. I typically wash them once a week (I wear them multiple times between washes if they are not heavily soiled from dirt or sweat)

Some Gap jeans are USA made and stamped proudly such. I have a couple pair. I go to the better thrift stores and buy them when I see them in any brand regardless. Just look at the labels. They're all around. Probably some in a local thrift or good will store near you in your size most weeks. I hardly ever buy new jeans anymore. I buy great condition used ones for cheap, throw them in the wash with some fabric softener and ample soap and dump them guilt free when I wear out another pocket testing clips! :-)

For a moderate price point high quality jean, Wrangler RIGGS WEAR "work horse" jeans. You can catch them on sale for $22.50~$25.00 delivered if you watch for on-line sales. After a few years, I have one pair with a cordura pocket that is starting to fade and second pair where the top of the thighs is getting a little thin. Not bad for the price paid IMHO.

Subscribed on this one. I wear Duluth or Carhartt usually, don't know where they're exactly made. I'm always eager to buy American though.
