my first hawk , an ATC hawk , has taiwan stamped into it . are these made in taiwan? its a damn good hawk , i was just wondering , could it be a knockoff? it has the leather ATC sheath , and a green wood handle . man its a nice hawk , spike hawk . i have no pics. thanks

Sounds like a Cold Steel Vietnam Hawk. These are made in Taiwan and were sold under an ATC title which is not to be confused with the actual American ATC company.

DEFINITELY NOT an AMERICAN TOMAHAWK COMPANY hawk/axe

Whoa, this reminded me to ask.

Awhile ago, I bought a Coldsteel riflemans hawk, and on the side was a sticker that had ATC, and around it was american tomahawk company.

Is it not coldsteel that makes them???
why did it say ATC??

Comparing Cold Steel and ATC hawks is like comparing Glock/HK/SIG Sauer to a Jennings/Lorcin/Jimenez/Hi-Point "Saturday Night Special" type of gun. Its just not there.

Cold Steel for some reason can put an ATC sticker on their products, but they are two diffrent companies. If you go to the Cold STell web page, and then to the American Tomahawk Company web page you can see all the diffrent products.

Also, if you search around on here you can probably find the reason Cold Steel can use the ATC name.
