Greetings!

A have 2 double bit Michigan pattern axe heads that have the arched Americanax Glassport, PA stamp on one side. On the reverse side is a marking that appears to be the "Hand Made" stamping used by Kelly, followed by a 3 digit number (possibly 505 or 585). See pic:

Does anyone have any knowledge of these markings? I would guess the manufacture date to be between 1900 and 1920.

Thanks!

Thank you! So, did the AAT Co. consortium utilize the Americanax trademark until they were acquired by Kelly in 1921?

Later on, Americanax resurfaced again (Kelly, and later True Temper on one side Americanax on reverse side)
