Hi All,
I was given a working AMT Permatrak Oscillating Wet Stone Model #5290
Now this thing may be a toy to some, but it is cute and cuddlie and cost me zip, and it works.
I am looking to find a manual for it, if someone can scan it, or perhaps who the underlying maker was, since AMT does not come up in any way in google, except for a picture or two and a bidding war on ebay. Perhaps a state/city etc for AMT itself.
I would like to get a rougher stone for it, and a finer one.
It is a weird thing ,the stone (marked Japan and 800) slides back and forh like a reciprocating saw and the stone sits in a shallow "tub " on the reciprocating base.
please drop me a line if you can help. I don't know if this thing is worth using, or just pulling the stone out and using it by itself. I figured that 800 was the grit size, but how that works with American grading suytem I can't say.
thanks
