first time car camping for me - i joined a couple of friends and their kids in sandy hook, nj this past weekend...hawk on the nest?

i asked one of them for a sample taste - it was alright. it's no tuna but i'd eat a few more if i had soy sauce.

my buddy bringing back to camp far more than we can eat...the fishermen insisted we take a bag full of it.

tasty after grilling but i actually prefer it raw with soy sauce next time.

any idea what these are? it has one big seed inside - very grape-like in size, texture, juice, etc...i licked the juice and didn't hallucinate :D

i didn't take that many pics on this trip because i was too busy teaching a couple of 5-7 year olds how to use firesteel, flint & steel, etc...they all got hooked because i got woken up at 7:30 am the next morning by them asking if we can start the camp fire again :D

we went night fishing but no bites unfortunately.

Hi! Nice post. Free car camping it's not very common 'round here, I mean one can park in a serviced picnic area but not just like that on the beach. Interesting :). It seems you got quite a lot of fish! The plums look from Prunus Spinosa to me.

thanks! several people on another forum said it looks like plum as well...i might take a bite next time and see if i die :D
