Are there any Divers out there that have an interesting knife they would like to show? I will start it off with this old picture. I still have most of these, but not all of them.

I have one. It says Sunfish and it looks a lot like the one you have with the ruler on it.

It was a present from my father when I made my confirmation. I was getting certified to scuba dive. I think I was 14 or so.

Sadly, none of my knives are designed to withstand saltwater. Diving with knives sounds fun though! Maybe after the rona blows over hehe.

hah! guess what? underwater is probably the safest place from corona
do some scuba diving now ; )

and yes, a knife is essential to open water scuba - it's far too easy to get tall seaweed or kelp or nets to snag you

Back when I was in my teens and learning to dive, this was the most awesomest thing I could strap to my inner calf:

LMAO you got a point there. I’m not particularly comfortable whipping out a knife underwater with scuba gear on. But heck, life begins outside the comfort zone right?

This is an interesting thread. Wonder if anyone’s got stories with their H1 and LC200 knives.

I work as a Diver and an Engineer on two surface boats and a submarine. A knife is an essential piece of gear. I have been tangled in line of various types and have used a knife to remove ropes and nets from the props and other parts of our boats many times. I have about five knives that I normally use at work and on recreational dives. As you can see, I have quite a few others that I have used in the past and some newer ones that I may use in the future. Here are some old ones and some new ones. I will post a few pictures now and maybe a few later.

Here are my favorite Diving knives although I will admit that I do not dive with the Imperial UDT knife anymore. Made in 1961 it was number 8 in the contract out of less than 1200. Many went missing in VN, many more are in rough shape. The Randall 16 is not that unusual so on occasion when I want to hear moans and groans from new age divers, on recreational trips, about carrying a huge knife I break this one out. It cuts nets and ropes like butter when I need it though. I dive it in the nylon sheath, but I also have a waxed leather sheath that it came with, but that does not go into the ocean.
