I was at Gander Mountain and almost dropped the $ on a pair of Kuhl pants and opted not to. Not because I didn't like them but because I didn't feel like spending the money at the time.

I've been looking at the pants and the shorts.

I'm interested in the pants and the shorts am interested in hearing from those of you that have them. How is the durability? How is the fit? How close is waste size in fit to other pants like Lee Jeans, etc.

Thanks in advance fellas.

I bought a pair of the "kuhl jeans" on clearance on vacation last year. I hadn't ever heard of the brand before, but I really liked that they were light weight yet seemed well made and tough.

This is gonna sound dumb, but I really like that I can put them on without having to take off my hiking shoes. I wanted to be able to use them as an extra layer when hiking with shorts, and they work fine for that too.

I have no complaints after a year of owning them. No noticeable wear on the knees/pockets/etc. (My edc has a pocket clip). No stitching problems. They dry quick and stop the wind well, but are still light enough to wear in warmer weather. I got a little polyurethane on them, but that's the only thing that's left a permanent mark. I liked them so much I searched the internet for a few months til I found 2 more pairs at a good price.

The fit was a bit weird for me at first. I usually wear really loose fitting jeans, and these are a bit more snug in the package area than I was used to. The waist fit is true, but the waist is a little lower than I was used to as well. Still, I can hike in them comfortably. I'd definitely try them on or order from a place where returns are easy. YMMV

I didn't think I'd ever be writing a fancy pants review, btw. :o

Thanks Joe!

Chopchop - thanks very much for your thoughts. I think I'm going to have to pick up a pair and just see how they fit. I should have tried them on while at the store because I don't live close to the store. I'm glad to hear you say you can fit them over your hiking shoes and that they dry relatively quickly.

Thanks fellas!
