Any Kindjal or Qaddara fans here?

I just love the simple, efficient and all-business look of the long kindjals/qaddaras. Just something about them that make you want to pick them up and cut with them. Is there anything similar to that in the HI repertoire? Perhaps the Tibetan sword is the closest, me thinks.

KMark?

I admire kindjal knives. I do not have any, nor am I likely to get any.

But...

sometimes I just amuse myself by hissing "kin jaaallll.....ssssssssssss," in my best assassin's voice.

The not-right dog is suitably intimidated. :D

Kis

Saw several nice ones [some very] this weekend at the Arms show in Tulsa.
Too bad the popular military collectibles market drives prices so high.

I much prefer the less common version with the sweeping curves.
Guess i'll have to get one from Atlanta Cutlery till an 'old' one
finds its way to me.

We used to buy the "qatar" and cut the blade down and give it a new s-guard and flaring katzbalger hilt when I played a German at the renn faires.
For 20$ and some elbow grease, you couldnt beat it for authenticity.

I like the one at the link below:

Kindjal

Blade length is 18.5", and 26" overall. More of a short sword or a long knife...

Getting one commissioned by Michael Rader at www.raderblade.com, but with Peruvian walnut grip and without the markings or inscriptions.

Yikes!

Those are *REALLY* sweet blades!

Tell me more about them please!

Thanks!
