So been perusing the threads in here for tips on what to put in my 3 day backpack. Found lots of really neat tips and things I would have never have thought of.

A bunch of posts have mentioned countycomm stuff. Went there today and HOLYSH$T they have a lot of really neat stuff cheap that will be very useful. So it got me wondering:

Are there any other sites like countycomm.com that sell useful stuff for camping, hiking, survival, emergency, tactical type situations out there I am missing?

Goingear is one of my favorites.

I used to be a big TAD Gear fan but much of their production is moving to China.

cheaperthandirt has things like p38's and cold steel crap... the occasional interesting canvas or nylon surplus rucksack, butt bag, poncho, etc that you can pick up for real cheap. I bought 4 5 dollar wool blankets that I use for backpacking and river trips and stuff... one is even a throw rug over my couch at the moment.

Cool I have looked at cheaper than dirt before but for gun stuff. I will check the other categories. Going to check those other sites too keep em' coming.

I am going to suggest that you avoid Cheaper than Dirt. I have had a couple bad deals with them receiving items in bad condition and a pain to return. Also, during the recent 'gun craze,' CTD showed false MSRP's in order to raise their prices. They had prices 3-4 times higher than anyone else and were claiming that it was a discount on the original MSRP. I will never order from them again and always try to warn potential customers of their poor business practices.

Fair warning and as always, YMMV.

ya man...bens rules and he is good people...bought a svord peasant off him...stellar customer service
