Any word on Counter Point XL?

The Counter Point XL HAS NOT been released yet
I don't have a release date for that knife yet, but I'm hoping to have more info soon
 
Cool, looks like a winner. If I remember correctly, the standard version took awhile to get out also (the small did not).

But worth the wait, great knives for the price, the XL looks like a winner. The 6" Ti-Lite is my official "sweatpants knife" since I can carry it in the pocket unclipped but it still "waves" when you draw it. I know the Counter Point won't do this but size wise it should work.
 
Also, with the blade so large, it should easily snap-out with a gravity or inertial opening.

Just a bit of experimentation to find the balance point and that will do it.
 
No, this project has not been cancelled.
I don't have a release date yet, but you can be sure I'll post here when I do :)

As far as I am aware, this item is not yet shipping.
Sometimes in the past advance shipments of new items have been released in small quantities (causing some confusion) but to the best of my knowledge no CPXL models have been released for shipping.
I've been wrong before. Let me check and confirm
I will double check with our shipping department and get back to you ASAP
 
Like the CS Rep says, it is possible that a small amount of these have been released.

I know that I saw it listed on a certain dealer's website a few months ago. They did take it down though.

I might be wrong. But I didn't see the announcement for the Code 4 series posted here or on Facebook either.

I just saw them on various dealer websites.
 
I wonder if the Counterpoint XL will turn out to be Cold Steel's equivalent to Spyderco's Pygmy Warrior which has been listed in their catalogues for three years and is still not available. Still, waiting for something you want is better than finding out it's been cancelled so I'm still hopeful.

On an entirely different note; I'm surprised CS didn't bring out a full fledged smatchet this year after rolling out the smatchet machete last year. You'd think a smatchet would be exactly down Cold Steel's alley and could be offered at a price similar to that of the Gurkha kukri. I'd snap one up in an instance.
 
The Counter Point XL project hasn't been cancelled to my knowledge.
I'm still waiting on a release date, but as far as I know they are still planned for production and release

I've only handled an early prototype but I liked it a lot - I think it's worth the wait
 
I believe the copies or clones have made it to the market before the real deal. They seem to be the one's that are available already.
