Anybody have issues with the old sbcglobal email?

This is mainly a question for those with using the old sbcglobal email address.

I found out a few weeks ago that apparently, if you don't log in to sbcglobal for a few months, your account just goes away. No recovery options... nothing. Just gone.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice about how to deal with them? (I guess it's yahoo now.) We had any important emails coming in to sbcglobal forwarded to our gmail, so there was activity on the email account, even though we hadn't logged in in a while.

I haven't had a problem, but it is my primary e-mail so I log in daily. AT&T recently bought Yahoo, or at least the mail portion of it, so it is possible you got purged in the transition.

Hushmail does the same thing (on their free email accounts) so it's not uncommon.
The account is as you say... "gone"

"AT&T recently bought Yahoo,"
Way more to it than that... Look into where your personal data went!
