Does anyone have any experience with the Streamlight TLR-2 weapon light and if they had any reviews on it.

I own a glock TAC3166 weapons light and was thinking about upgrading to the TLR-2.

I have a TLR-2s and it is a great light and in my opinion a much better tac light than the Glock lights. I used to work at a police equipment store in the Milwaukee, WI area (we were dealers for Glock, Surefire, Streamlight, etc) and the Streamlight tactical lights were by far the most popular. The Streamlight TLR-2 is LED so no bulb to burn out or replace, brighter, more compact, and more durable. You also have a lifetime warranty. The company I worked for was a Streamlight repair center, if someone came in with a malfunctioning light that we could not fix in house (I fixed well over a thousand lights while working there) all we had to do was send it in and Streamlight would fix it for free no hassle. I would also recommend you get the TRL-2s (s for strobe) it is rated at 160 lumens to 135 for the standard model. All other specs are the same and it only cost bout $5 dollars more. I have yet to find a light/laser in the TRL-2 price range that is brighter or as durable (the few I have seen brighter are marginally brighter and much more expensive) Only problem with going with the TRL-2 is you may need a new holster to fit the gun/light combo.

Hopefully I was of some help.:o

Hey BC, long time no talk! hope you've been well.

I don't own a TLR-2, but I do own a TLR-1s and regular Streamlight flashlight.

The reason I bought the TLR-1s was actually because I went shooting with Ban who had a TLR-2, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It's bright, easy to install, stays put, and good price compared to other lights. From what I remember from Ban, the laser holds zero, but you can ask the man himself in his deathchat forum: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/854-Ban-Tang-s-Stupid-Sharp-Knives.

The Streamlight TLR series is pretty well acknowledged in the gun community, so I don't think you can go wrong with it.

Hey there MRP...how have you been? I thought about getting the TLR-1 myself, but may spend the extra money and get the lazer. I'll get on there and ask Ban, and thanks for the input.

Sounds like the TLR-2s is the way to go....thanks again guys.
